Job Summary
As a Wire / Start-Up Technician, you will wire and assemble custom HVAC units. You’ll mount electrical devices, install conduit, run wire, and connect components while reading and following electrical schematics and blueprints. This role requires hands-on electrical work, troubleshooting, and supporting production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Wire and install electrical components such as motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, burner controls, and damper controls
- Mount and connect devices including transformers, drives, and relays
- Bend and install conduit using proper tools
- Perform unit start-up and testing procedures
- Operate Hi-Lo and overhead crane equipment safely
- Perform and troubleshoot plant/office maintenance tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, complying with all safety policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (electrical trade school a plus)
- Some electrical experience required
- Ability to read and interpret control schematics and blueprints
- Understanding of basic electrical rules and safety practices
- Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work overtime
