Wiring Harness Assembly Technicians
in Wixom, MI. This is a great opportunity for individuals with some assembly or electrical manufacturing experience who are looking to grow their skills in a hands-on production environment. You’ll be responsible for assembling and inspecting wiring harnesses while following detailed instructions and quality standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Wiring Harness Assembly Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
- Wiring Harness Assembly: Assemble wiring harnesses including stripping, crimping, and occasional soldering.
- Tool & Equipment Operation: Use hand tools and operate semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire strippers.
- Testing & Inspection: Conduct functional and continuity testing using test fixtures and perform visual and dimensional inspections.
- Component Assembly: Route wires and assemble electronic components based on detailed instructions.
Additional duties may include supporting production needs and maintaining quality standards throughout the assembly process.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1–2 years of related assembly or production experience
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to differentiate between colors
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Good hand dexterity for precise assembly work
- Basic math skills
- Ability to perform repetitive hand assembly tasks
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Shift & Employment Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Contract-to-hire opportunity
