Job Summary
Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient production, safety standards, and workforce management. Key responsibilities include managing the smelting process, achieving production targets, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficient production and safety standards
- Manage workforce, including covering absent workers as needed
- Optimize smelting process to maximize output and ensure efficient conversion of ore into metal
- Collaborate with production team to meet production goals and quality standards
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance smelting operations and improve process efficiency
- Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and work with maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability
- Provide reports on production output, quality metrics, and operational issues
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain a safe working environment
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of smelting processes and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with process improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with safety management systems and OSHA regulations
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills
- Experience with reporting and performance metrics tracking
