Steel Department Shipping & Inventory Manager
to join our team in Holland, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping ensure accurate inventory management and efficient movement of steel materials throughout our manufacturing facility.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
Steel Department Shipping & Inventory Manager
, your core responsibilities will include:
●
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and ensure materials are properly tracked within company systems.
●
Material Handling:
Safely operate overhead cranes to move, stage, and organize steel products throughout the facility.
●
Shipping Coordination:
Verify orders, prepare shipping documentation, and ensure outgoing shipments are accurate and on time.
In addition, you will also be expected to assist with occasional forklift (Hi-Lo) operation and support overall warehouse and production material flow.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Previous experience in inventory control, shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
● Comfortable working in a hot and loud manufacturing environment with frequent welding activity
● Overhead crane experience preferred
● Forklift (Hi-Lo) experience preferred

Strong accuracy skills to maintain inventory records and prevent discrepancies.

Organization:
Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep materials, documentation, and inventory organized.

Computer Proficiency:
Experience using inventory tracking systems and computer software to maintain accurate records.
