Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join our production team on 3rd shift. This role ensures the efficient operation of production equipment while meeting strict safety and quality standards. Operators must follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), wear appropriate safety gear (hairnets, beard nets, eye protection), and actively monitor equipment and material quality throughout each shift.
Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance: Always wear required PPE (hairnets, beard nets, eye protection) in the production area.
- Machine Operation: Operate machines per SOPs; adjust as needed based on specific orders.
- Glue Level Monitoring: Check glue levels at the start of shift and before each break.
- Paper Quality Inspection: Ensure paper is free from contaminants and folding properly.
- Malfunction Reporting: Report oil leaks or mechanical issues to the supervisor. Shut down machine if needed.
- Labeling & Dating: Confirm all products are labeled and dated correctly as per company guidelines.
Key Qualifications:
- Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
- Basic math skills
- Good concentration and multitasking abilities
- Able to lift 25 lbs repetitively
- Able to stand for 8–10 hours per shift
